Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Freestone County, Texas. The job is in a demolition and site-clearance yard. Day-to-day duties: • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
