Bench joiner • Stephenson County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bench joiner in Stephenson County, Illinois. You will be based in a bespoke joinery workshop. You will glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw. You should have: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent 1+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
