Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horticulturist in Stephenson County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Happy to work outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
