Horticulturist — Johnson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a horticulturist in Johnson County, Illinois. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting The role involves: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn 6+ years on the tools preferred.
