Pressman — Doncaster

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Doncaster, England. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Full-time, day shift.
