Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Boki, Cross River State. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
