Estate gardener • Macoupin County, Illinois

Immediate opening: we are hiring an estate gardener in Macoupin County, Illinois. You will be based at a landscaping company. You will cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn. You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Overtime paid at a premium rate.
