Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale You should bring able to read simple casting drawings and job cards; understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling; basic grinding and fettling skills. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
