Steam press operator — Will County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Will County, Illinois. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $220 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
