On a typical shift you will lay table covers with cutlery, napkins, glassware and crockery; follow food hygiene and allergen-handling rules; pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left; upsell starters, desserts and beverages; take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad; greet guests, seat them and present the menu. You should have: • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner • Prior experience as a waiter in a restaurant or hotel • Good knowledge of the menu, ingredients and beverages Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
