The role involves tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; read lift plans and method statements before starting; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
