Now hiring: we are hiring a furniture maker in Madison County, Nebraska. The job is at a shopfitting company. The role involves fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. Requirements: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Own basic hand tools 4+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
