Now hiring: we are hiring a butcher in Morrill County, Nebraska. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Your main tasks: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
