Great opportunity: commis chef (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a commis chef in Parmer County, Texas. You will work in a catering banquet kitchen. You will prepare the mise en place before each service; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off.
