Immediate opening: we are hiring a pastry baker in Morrow County, Ohio. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. Day-to-day duties: • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand You should have: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Full-time with occasional weekends.
