Garden maintenance worker — Chugach Census Area

Join our team: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Chugach Census Area, Alaska. You will work in a residential garden complex. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease Requirements: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
