Great opportunity: we are hiring a laundry presser in Patrick County, Virginia. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment The role involves: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
