Vacuum press operator — Lamar County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Lamar County, Texas. You will work in a garment export house. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings You will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; give each garment a final press before packing. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
