Now hiring: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Jackson County, Missouri. You will be based on a housing development site. You should have: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site Day-to-day duties: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
