Port container crane operator — McHenry County

Now hiring: we are hiring a port container crane operator in McHenry County, Illinois. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. You will read and interpret the load chart before every lift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground. What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
