Vacancy available: port container crane operator (Imo State)

Join our team: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Nwangele, Imo State. You will be based in a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination On the job you will handle: • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
