Now hiring: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Ector County, Texas. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. You will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear 4+ years on the tools preferred. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
