Conventional mill operator — Jackson County

Join our team: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Jackson County, Illinois. You will work at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience.
