Counter butcher — Lanier County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Lanier County, Georgia. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day to day you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. You should have: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers 4+ years on the tools preferred.
