Vacancy available: we are hiring a hoist operator in Brazoria County, Texas. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts The role involves: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
