Gantry crane operator • Cass County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Cass County, Illinois. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
