Banksman • Sapele, Delta State

Now hiring: we are hiring a banksman in Sapele, Delta State. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
