Marble mason — Gateshead

Now hiring: we are hiring a marble mason in Gateshead, England. You will work on a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Seal natural stone against staining with impregnating sealers • Shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish • Cut out sink and hob openings in worktops on site • Restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish Requirements: • Steady hand for edge profiling and a fine polished finish • Confident operating a bridge saw, angle grinder and diamond blades • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs 3+ years on the tools preferred.
