Hand presser — Saiha

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hand presser in Saiha, Mizoram. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. You will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Rotating shifts.
