Garden maintenance worker wanted in Logan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Logan County, Kansas. The job is at a private estate garden. The role involves: • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
