Garment presser — Brooks County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment presser in Brooks County, Texas. You will be based in a busy laundry. Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 3+ years on the tools preferred.
