Machine operator (earthworks) — Pinellas County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Pinellas County, Florida. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. The role involves: • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly Requirements: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
