Machine operator (earthworks) — Middlesex County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Middlesex County, Virginia. You will lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs. Requirements: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances 3+ years on the tools preferred.
