Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Bakassi, Cross River State. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Your main tasks: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
