Port container crane operator — Coffee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Coffee County, Georgia. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. On the job you will handle: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 4+ years on the tools preferred.
