Join our team: trainee butcher (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Deaf Smith County, Texas. You will work in a supermarket meat department. You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
