Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Part-time with flexible hours.
