Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Dawakin Tofa, Kano State. The job is at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Day-to-day duties: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
