Great opportunity: we are hiring a retail butcher in Putnam County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Season and marinate meat on request $32 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
