On a typical shift you will operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings. You should have: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
