Escalator technician • Devon, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in Devon, England. Day-to-day duties: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
