Gantry crane operator wanted in Levy County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Levy County, Florida. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals Meals and transport allowance provided.
