Immediate opening: ironing operator (Gombe State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Kwami, Gombe State. You will work at a garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Rotating shifts.
