Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Nelson County, Virginia. Requirements: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs The role involves keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
