Immediate opening: finishing presser (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing presser in Madison County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day to day you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
