We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Comanche County, Texas. The job is at a residential building site. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage You will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod.
