We are recruiting: shakeout operator (Manipur)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Kakching, Manipur. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. We are looking for comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal; knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding. Your main tasks: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring ₹19,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
