Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Williamson County, Texas. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Your main tasks: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
