Rigging foreman • Dala, Kano State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Dala, Kano State. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
