The role involves grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction. You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections 3+ years on the tools preferred.
